Christopher Kochis
January 2010 Graduate
Meet National Training, Inc.’s Heavy Equipment Operator School’s Graduate of the Month, Christopher Kochis
Christopher is a local to us living here in beautiful Jacksonville, Florida. Christopher is married to a lovely woman named Carrie and both of them just moved here from the great northern state of Maine. We can’t say we blame them with the weather the way it is this time of year.
Christopher has been self-employed for the last 6 years doing finished wood work and remodeling kitchens and bathrooms along with other types of home remodeling. With the fallout of the housing industry you can imagine what that did for Christopher’s business.
Christopher says he choose heavy equipment operation because he’s always had an interest in operating the big machines and he wanted a more stable career. We can relate to that…they’re just plain fun.
We asked Christopher what his experience was like with National and he tells us “It was great, I learned a lot more than I thought I would. I learned the basic knowledge I needed to operate all 6 pieces of equipment. I feel very comfortable now to walk on any job site and get on a machine and operate it like a pro.”

Christopher also tells us his favorite part of training was the instructors. Christopher appreciated that they were very down to earth people and very easy to get along with and brought a lot of life experiences to the class.
Christopher our instructors work hard to bring their knowledge to the class and appreciate it very much when a compliment is made.
We want to thank Christopher for choosing National Heavy Equipment Operator School for his training.
Instructor comments:
“Christopher was a lot of fun to be around. He was always asking what we were going to do and how we were going to do it. His attitude and drive were good for the class. He worked harder and harder the more he learned. He prides himself on doing a good job and that’s what’s going to make him a success in this industry.”
Christopher we wish you much success within the industry. Keep up the good work and please stop by and see us sometime.
Thank you,
National Training, Inc.’s Heavy Equipment Operator School
